Terms of Use

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use EarthStation. You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.

2. Your CavoID

A CavoID is your public identity within the current Cavorion Night service. You may generate one or create your own, subject to availability and these Terms. CavoIDs are intended to be permanent, but Cavorion may remove, reserve, or change a CavoID where reasonably necessary to address impersonation, infringement, abuse, technical error, or legal requirements.

3. Beacons and public content

Your CavoID, Beacon, and EarthStation messages may be visible to other users. Do not publish a home address, private phone number, financial information, passwords, or other sensitive personal information. You remain responsible for content you submit.

4. Community conduct

You must not use Cavorion Night to:

• harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, or deliberately intimidate another person;
• post hateful, sexually exploitative, violent, fraudulent, or unlawful content;
• impersonate another person or falsely claim affiliation;
• share another person's private information without permission;
• spam, advertise repeatedly, scrape users, or automate access without approval;
• interfere with security, availability, or normal operation of the service; or
• encourage self-harm, criminal activity, or conduct that creates a credible safety risk.

5. Moderation

Cavorion may review reports, remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, operate the service, or enforce these Terms. Moderation decisions may be made without prior notice in urgent or serious cases.

6. Content licence

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Cavorion a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, reproduce, transmit, display, and process that content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve Cavorion Night.

7. Availability and changes

Cavorion Night is an early-stage service. Features may change, pause, or be withdrawn, and the service may experience interruptions. We do not guarantee that any message, Beacon, CavoID suggestion, or other content will always remain available.

8. Intellectual property

Cavorion Night, EarthStation, CavoID, their software, visual identity, logos, and original materials belong to Cavorion or its licensors. These Terms do not grant permission to copy, commercialise, reverse engineer, or misuse them except where law expressly permits.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cavorion is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by user content, or events outside reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Account closure

You may stop using the service at any time. Before App Store submission, the app will include a way to initiate account deletion from Settings. Cavorion may suspend or close accounts that materially or repeatedly breach these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, subject to any mandatory consumer or privacy rights that apply where you live.
