Privacy Policy
How Cavorion Night handles information used by EarthStation.
1. Who we are
Cavorion Night is operated by Cavorion. Questions, access requests, correction requests, or privacy concerns may be sent to info@cavorion.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, authentication credentials, and account identifier.
- Public identity information: your chosen CavoID and any Beacon you choose to publish.
- EarthStation content: messages you transmit to the shared chatroom and their timestamps.
- Technical information: limited security, diagnostic, session, and device information generated when the service operates.
3. What is public
Your CavoID is displayed publicly in the CavoID Directory. Your Beacon is public only when you add one. Messages transmitted to EarthStation are visible to other users of the room. Your email address is not displayed publicly.
4. How we use information
- to create and authenticate your account;
- to operate the CavoID Directory, Beacon, and EarthStation chatroom;
- to maintain security, prevent misuse, investigate reports, and enforce the Terms of Use;
- to troubleshoot and improve reliability; and
- to comply with legal obligations.
5. Service providers and storage
Cavorion Night uses Supabase for authentication, database, and realtime infrastructure. Information may therefore be processed or stored outside New Zealand. We take reasonable steps to use service providers and safeguards appropriate to the information involved.
6. Retention
EarthStation is designed so ordinary chat messages are shown for approximately one Earth rotation. This display period does not necessarily mean every technical copy disappears immediately; limited records may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, or where needed to investigate misuse or meet legal obligations.
Account and profile information is kept while your account remains active and for only as long afterwards as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy.
7. Your choices and rights
You may edit or remove your Beacon through the app. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by contacting info@cavorion.com. An in-app account-deletion control will be provided before App Store submission.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your password confidential and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.
9. Children
The initial release is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Do not create an account if you are under 18. Please do not publish a home address, private phone number, or other sensitive personal information in a Beacon or EarthStation message.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as Cavorion Night develops. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page.
